We are looking for a talented Microbiologist to join our microbiology team in a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing and supporting microbiological testing for non-sterile products, ensuring compliance with GMP and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct microbiological testing for raw materials, water, in-process, and finished non-sterile products in accordance with approved methods.
• Perform environmental monitoring and microbiological monitoring of manufacturing and laboratory areas.
• Perform microbial limit testing and other microbiological examinations for non-sterile products.
• Prepare and handle culture media, reagents, and microbiological samples according to approved procedures.
• Review and record microbiological data accurately and in compliance with GMP and GLP standards.
• Support investigations related to microbiological deviations, OOS, OOT, and contamination events.
• Maintain microbiology laboratory equipment and ensure proper cleaning, maintenance, and calibration status.
• Ensure proper handling, identification, storage, and disposal of microbiological samples and materials.
• Collaborate with Production, QA, and other departments to maintain product quality and hygiene standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the microbiology laboratory.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or Science (Microbiology or related field).
• 1–3 years of experience in pharmaceutical microbiology, preferably in non-sterile manufacturing.
• Good understanding of GMP and GLP requirements.
• Hands-on experience with microbiological testing, microbial limit testing, and environmental monitoring.
• Good knowledge of aseptic techniques and microbiological laboratory practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good English communication and computer skills.
