Senior Environment Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist
Scope of work :
Will be responsible for driving Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives, ensuring full compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, international standards, and company policies, while fostering a safe, healthy, and environmentally sustainable workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
-Implement and monitor Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and programs across the organization.
-Ensure compliance with Egyptian legal requirements, GMP standards, and internal EHS policies.
-Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
-Investigate incidents, unsafe conditions, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures.
-Develop and deliver EHS induction and awareness training programs for employees and contractors.
-Monitor fire protection systems, emergency preparedness, and evacuation plans, and participate in emergency response activities.
-Coordinate occupational health and environmental monitoring activities.
-Maintain EHS documentation, records, permits, and regulatory reports.
-Support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems and participate in internal and external audits.
-Promote a proactive safety culture through continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Pharmacy, or a related discipline.
-4–5 years of experience in EHS within a pharmaceutical manufacturing company is mandatory.
-Strong knowledge of Egyptian EHS legislation, GMP requirements, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
-Experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, emergency response, and safety audits.
-Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
-NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent EHS certification
