About the role
The QA Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards across production processes. The role involves conducting quality inspections, monitoring product quality, supporting laboratory testing activities, investigating quality issues, and ensuring adherence to company quality assurance procedures within the food and beverage manufacturing environment.

Reporting To QA Lab Supervisor
Key responsibilities
Conduct and document chemical, physical, and organoleptic testing of raw materials and finished products according to approved methods and SOPs.
Ensure all testing is performed accurately and within defined timelines, with proper documentation and reporting.
Identify and report non-conformances, support investigations, and assist in corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Perform internal calibration checks and routine verification of laboratory instruments and equipment.
Perform sanitation & hygiene testing in line with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Participate in product issue investigations and customer complaint analysis.
Ensure compliance with food safety and quality requirements on production lines.
Inspect and receive raw and packaging materials based on receiving procedures and approved specifications.
Maintain proper storage and traceability of retained and shelf-life samples.
Maintain laboratory equipment, perform minor maintenance, and ensure availability of properly functioning tools and reagents.
Conduct sampling of finished products and raw material in accordance with the approved sampling plan.
Follow all Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) within the lab and follow all the Lab. documented procedures and instructions regarding HACCP, ISO, Hygiene, and EHS.
Utilize Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems for data entry, tracking, and reporting.
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and escalate issues to the Quality Supervisor as needed.
Perform any additional tasks assigned by the department.
Qualifications and skills
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field (Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Agriculture, or related discipline).
2–3 years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance / Laboratory testing within the Food & Beverage industry.
Solid understanding of food safety and quality systems, including HACCP, ISO standards, GLP, and GMP.
Experience in performing chemical, physical, and basic microbiological analyses, with strong adherence to standard methods and SOPs.
Proficiency in using laboratory equipment, calibration practices, and routine maintenance of instruments.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Access) and computerized data management systems for recording and analyzing results.
Ability to identify deviations, investigate root causes, and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to clearly report findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work both independently and within a team in a fast-paced, shift-based environment.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Good command of English.
