Lab Supervisor At Servier Egypt
The Physicochemical lab supervisor will be responsible for supervising and coordinating physicochemical testing activities and will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the lab team, ensuring adherence to relevant regulatory requirements and quality standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This position requires a hands-on leader with a strong background in quality control, analytical techniques, and team management.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Laboratory Operations Management:
Supervise / conduct laboratory tests on incoming raw materials, in-process production samples and finished products before release.
Oversee the execution of quality control tests and analyses according to established procedures and specifications.
Supervise the process of sampling and analysis of raw materials, bulk, intermediate or finished product and packaging materials according to company procedures and ensure the results are within specifications.
Supervise the process of recording samples of raw materials, bulk, finished product, stability, and water analysis samples in the registered logbook.
Supervise / conduct the process of routine testing for plant water systems.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., cGMP, GLP, ICH / WHO), and other relevant quality standards.
Participate in the quality department working groups as requested.
Conduct OOS, OOT and incidence investigations and apply corrective and preventative measures after coordination with the QC manager.
Monitor stocks and initiate request control for stocks when needed.
Support Audit Readiness and participate in Audits.
Support and participate in Quality Risk Assessments.
Investigate Out of Specification (OOS) and Out of Trend (OOT) results as required
Support instrument calibration and maintenance as required.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and inspire a team of quality control analysts, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship.
Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture, emphasizing accountability and continuous improvement.
Analytical Method Development and Validation:
Coordinate and support the validation of analytical methods used in quality control.
Provide technical expertise and troubleshoot issues related to analytical testing procedures.
Supervise the transfer and validation testing on bulks, finished and CMO products.
Perform calibration of some QC analytical equipment and PQ for some equipment.
Documentation and Reporting:
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of quality control activities, including test results, deviations, and investigations.
Prepare and review reports summarizing quality control data for internal and external stakeholders.
Training and Development:
Conduct training sessions for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in quality control techniques and procedures.
Identify and address training needs to ensure a highly competent and capable team.
Actively participate in the training of new analysts.
Continuous Improvement:
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the quality control team, implementing best practices and optimizing processes.
Participate in root cause analyses and corrective/preventive action plans for quality control deviations.
