Job Summary:
A Utilities and EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) Section head is responsible for managing the operations and maintenance of utility systems while ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day activities of a team of utility and EHS professionals and ensuring that the organization's utility systems are operating efficiently, safely, and in an environmentally responsible manner.

Job Description:

The specific job duties of a Utilities and EHS Section Head include:
1. Managing the operations and maintenance of utility systems, such as HVAC, electrical, water, and wastewater systems
2. Developing and implementing safety and environmental policies and procedures for utility operations
3. Conducting safety and environmental audits and inspections of utility systems
4. Identifying potential hazards and risks associated with utility systems and developing plans to mitigate them
5. Conducting safety and environmental training for utility personnel
6. Ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations and laws related to utility operations
7. Monitoring and reporting on safety and environmental performance metrics for utility systems
8. Developing emergency response plans and coordinating responses to emergencies related to utility systems
9. Managing hazardous waste and hazardous materials programs associated with utility operations
10. Communicating with employees, management, and regulatory agencies regarding utility and environmental issues.

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate for a Utilities and EHS Section Head position should have a bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field, as well as 5-7 years of relevant work experience.
