Undergraduate Intern, Data Office Software Developer
From applied research to advanced engineering, Dell Technologies CTO Team’s Technology Insights Group is solutions that together advanced technologies such as AI, cloud, data management, data science/engineering, and visualization. You will be involved in assessing the market, developing technology, products, and generating intellectual property. Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and the collaboration of internal and external partners.
We are looking for an undergrad intern Software developer with a strong background in highly scalable distributed systems and with experience working in an agile engineering team and a knack for researching new technologies. Candidates should display abilities to innovate and be creative.
What you’ll achieve
As an undergrad intern software developer, you will work with a cross-functional global team to design, build and deliver production-ready software with Dell standards.
You will:
Develop high quality, reliable and maintainable code
Design and build a cloud-native platform using cutting edge technologies
Be agile and retrospective, and not afraid to identify what we’re doing wrong so we can fix it, and what we’re doing right so we can improve on it
Works closely with product owner to clarify and demonstrate customer requirements

Essential Requirements
4rd or 5th year university student, majoring in Computer Science or similar discipline
Experience building highly available and scalable distributed systems
Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Go, Python, Java, JavaScript and/or C++
Experience with object-oriented programming, data structures, microservices, REST API design, and databases
Experience in frontend frameworks/technologies like React, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
Understanding of CI/CD
Linux knowledge with hands on experience with one or more distros (architecture, troubleshooting, filesystems, scripting, networking, and security)
Strong understanding of Container Technologies and orchestration (Docker, K8s, Openshift)
Desirable Requirements
Data Science knowledge
Experience in Data Visualization
