Purpose
Are you willing to join a dynamic team? Then, this is the right job for you. Join us at Givaudan Egypt in the winning Quality Team. We are looking to hire 2 active members, in our location in 6th of October Site, you will inspect and analyze raw materials, in-process and finished product samples to secure compliance with product safety regulations, specifications and standards. You will report to the Quality Lab Manager based in Egypt.
Core Responsibilities
Perform chemical, physical testing and sensory evaluations of products or incoming ingredients as identified by the current Givaudan specification for the item.
Perform sensory evaluations of products.
Enter test results into SAP resulting in an acceptance or rejection.
Communicate rejections and information updates to important contacts in Quality, Operations, Purchasing and Customer Care. Types of communications include email, making notes in system and verbal.
Perform basic equipment calibrations per frequency noted in calibration procedures.
Perform instruments, equipment, and quality deviations troubleshooting in the laboratory.
Maintain work a hygienic and safe work environment.
Provide backup and support to team members.
Identify opportunities for improvements in QC and set measures for trouble prevention
Technical Skills
Bachelor's degree in Science (chemistry) or pharmaceutical studies.
Overall work experience of 0 to 2 in a similar field
Laboratory and QC techniques
Operational experience and affinity on laboratory system, analytical equipment, and instruments such as weighing balance, Densitometer, Refractometer, Moisture balances, Karl Fischer titrator, Sieve testing equipment
Knowledge of chemical substances, hazardous material, and related local regulations
Good Sensory Evaluation experience
