Production Engineer At First for Food Industries
The role of the Production Engineer is primarily to support the running of the factory by resolving breakdowns and by delivering maintenance. Secondly, they are also required to drive improvement across the site in terms of new machinery, hygiene, quality, and performance.
Responsible for achieving production plan allocated to production lines in accordance with the predetermined standards while working on increasing production capacity and decreasing waste.
Responsible for achieving 100 % of the production plan allocated for each line while following predetermined Quality, Food Safety, and Safety standards.
Allocates day-to-day manpower on different functions on the production lines and solving any rising attendance issues.
Reviews and monitors production reports and prepares productivity analysis accordingly (including downtime analysis and efficiency analysis).
Directs production process per line and prepares production schedules.
Coordinates with the Maintenance department on the implementation of maintenance schedules so as not to disrupt production targets.
Recommends preventive maintenance initiatives to the maintenance team based on machinery performance supervision.
Responsible for implementation of changeover process in accordance with the production plan.
Monitoring waste rates, production scrap analyzing root causes, and suggesting means to reduce waste
Perform periodic inventory checks to control waste and material usage variances.
Responsible for the employees’ commitment to quality and food safety requirements and the implementation of the cleaning and sanitation plan.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Agriculture / Food Science or equivalent.
Experience in the Food industry is a must.
Experience 2 - 5 Years
Good knowledge of Lean Manufacturing & Operation management.
Microsoft office is mandatory.
The English language is mandatory.
The ability to work in the shift based is mandatory.
Maths and Statistical knowledge.
Knowledge of engineering science and technology.
Knowledge of manufacturing production and processes.
The ability to use, repair, and maintain machines and tools.
Design skills and knowledge.
