JOB PURPOSE:
The Work Permit Engineer ensures the operational service and matches the high level of security and safety and quality of service required by the KPIs, in managing the delivery of permit to work (internal & external).

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

The Work Permit Engineer is:
• Lead Line Engineering Access Meetings to organize, prioritize and schedule the work resulting from planned PTW requests
• Approve or reject the PTW request and establishes the work schedule for the following week in according with procedures and safety / security regulation.
• Create, if the PTW request is approved, the relevant Permit to Work
• Prepare daily work schedules and submit to Operation Manager for approval
• Check credential and authorization of Person In Charge (PIC) and other staff involved
• Evaluate risks and define the actions plan to ensure the operation.
• Prepare reports, correspondences, standard operating procedures and time tables.
• Interact with various direction and external actors to co-ordinate schedule and procedural changes and ensure the operation.
• Maintain support and promote a safe work environment while complying with all of Metro Operation safety rules, policies and procedures.
• Communicate and implement safety rules, policies and procedures in support of the Organizations safety vision and goals and maintain accountability for the safety performance of all sub-ordinate employees.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

KNOWLEDGE:
• English language (Fluent) and local language
• Preferred knowledge of operations procedures relating to transport and station operations
• Knowledge of technical works related to railway operations and maintenance
• Risk analysis skills
• Knowledge of planning software
• Developing cooperative relationships with internal and external actors
• Having strong oral and written communication skills

EXPERIENCE:

• Preferred minimum experience of at least 0-3 years in the railway industry.
