Demand Manager At Abbott
Job description;
Manage the overall demand planning and S&OP requirements for Abbott Nutrition affiliates in Kuwait and Egypt including forecast preparation and KPI measurement.
Analysis of internal sales data, external market and market share data, and offtake data to project future sales volumes and ASPs at SKU level.
Lead the country S&OP meetings, ensuring regular scheduled meetings occur and quality data inputs and outputs are achieved. Prepare the S&OP meeting deck for the monthly meetings.
Regular reporting of all KPI’s related to Demand Planning including in-market sales forecast accuracy and DOH targets.
Weekly reporting of in-market sales achievement vs targets.
Conduct monthly Demand Review, ensuring quality meeting inputs and outputs, document assumptions and changes behind the forecast.
Establish strong working relationships with Marketing, Sales, Finance, General Manager, and other key stakeholders to achieve the optimal service level.
Collaborate with Supply & Logistics group to ensure sufficient inventory is planned to achieve the desired service level.
Ensure data integrity in all systems used (BOBJ, SAP, BPCS/AS400)
Prepare monthly dashboards of sales and trend analysis. Analysis trends to support management decisions.
In collaboration with the Marketing and Finance, establish and monitor DOH targets and analyze variances versus target DOH.
Supply tools to “forecast developers”, allowing them to make an analysis according to the market and company circumstances. Document assumptions and occurrences for each product family to facilitate decision-making.
Participate in the New Product Innovation meetings to establish sales volume launch projections.
Monitor Forecast Accuracy KPI’s, analyze variances, and propose corrective actions for improvement
Participate with Finance in the Plan and LBE preparation to be presented to Area Headquarters.
Ensure in-market sales are planned forecasted for the new product launches.
Ensure proper phase in / phase out of products are planned to avoid obsolescence
Ensure building blocks in place to achieve new product launch sales targets.
Enhance and improve procedures to support new launches with high efficiency.
Contingency planning and issue resolution for potential new product launch changes.
Assist with the management of the change-over of products, ensuring minimal obsolete stock, lowest write off of materials and the maximum availability of products on shelf.
Lead meetings with internal and external stakeholders to track projects and ensure launch timelines are met.
Analyze post launch analysis after 3 months product introduced to the market.
REQUIREMENTS:
Degree in Finance, Supply, Statistical Science, Operations or its equivalent;
Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in production planning and determine priorities in a highly pressured working environment, self-motivated, numerate, accurate, logical and fully conversant with the whole procedures;
Knowledge in manufacturing, logistics, S&OP or sales will be an added advantage;
Knowledge in SAP APO SNP, BPEX, MS Office (especially in MS Excel);
Possess strong interpersonal and analytical skills with high level of attention to details;
Results-oriented and proactive;
Has good interpersonal skills and strong command of both written and spoken English.
Ability to influence key stakeholders in the organization and challenge the status quo.
