Cairo - Egypt

We are looking to hire Reservoir Engineer for our operations in Egypt.

Location:  Cairo, Egypt

The Reservoir Engineer is a key technical contributor who assists with the introduction of new technologies and answer products and identifies solutions that are relevant to customers’ needs. The candidate has a good understanding of other technical domains and how they interact and overlap on multiple projects.

Successful Reservoir Engineers have a good understanding of reservoir-completion interaction and can see the larger picture around production. They estimate the potential of a reservoir in order to determine fluid flow and have hands-on experience in black oil, compositional, and thermal simulation. They have cooperative and flexible personalities and the adaptability required to perform in a consulting services environment.  They work well independently or in a team, have strong oral and written communication, presentation and people skills and enjoy working with customers.

Responsibilities:

Builds simulation models for field performance and fluid behavior to predict reservoir performance, and then validates the models with reservoir data.

Analyzes fluid properties to predict fluid behavior and estimates its impact on production characteristics.

Uses upscale geologic models for dynamic fluid flow analysis and reservoir simulations using numerical simulators.

Creates and enhances reservoir models that simulate fluid flow, phase behavior, and reservoir properties, mainly focusing on the near well bore and how this interacts with the completion.

Investigates enhanced oil recovery options.

Runs analytical evaluations of various simulation cases and runs simulations on both existing and new completion products under development.

Develops technical documentation to concisely communicate simulation results.

Constructs field development plans to optimize reservoir production.

Understands reservoir economics and makes technical and fiscal recommendations.

Mentors the technical community, including the project’s exploration geoscientists and technicians.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's of Science degree in petroleum or reservoir engineering.

Minimum five years of experience in reservoir engineering and simulation.

Proficiency in applications such as ECLIPSE, ECLIPSE PVTi, OFM, and Petrel E&P software.

Must be able to legally work in Egypt. Egyptian candidates preferred or current Egyptian residents may apply.

Must be fluent in English.
