Job Description:
Ensure full compliance with GM safety requirements. Full awareness of the safety standards and continuous auditing to act upon deviations
Ensure the engagement of operators in the achievement of the Business Plan Deployment targets in safety, people, quality, responsiveness, cost, and environment, according to a standardized processes using GMS tools
Review area score card, participate and/or lead the daily operations meetings to track key business results, manage changes and act on deviations
Maintain constant contact with material handling floor operations to support their needs
Represent the department in various activities or committees as required
Plan and conducts Continuous Improvement Workshops
Support and participates in prototype, pilot and model change programs
Comply with local and global procedures and Internal Controls requirements with the function
Lead material inbound / outbound process complying with desk procedures, and apply material control best practices
Audit and support all floor requirements to maintain compliance to GMS elements & Maintains ISO standards
Support plant reviews for container buy-off for internal, local, and overseas containers
Participate on updating, validation, and full compliance for the Plan for Every Part
Conduct time study through the GM standard time tool and improve equipment and labor utilization
Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Competencies
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Industrial, or any related filed
Lean-six sigma, CPIM and/or PMP is a plus
0-3 years experience in the industrial field, preferred in material handling, supply chain operations/planning, warehousing, production, or industrial engineering
Good ability in problem solving and project management techniques
Required competencies: Timely decision making, driving for results, and managing through systems
