Role Purpose:

The role holder is responsible for developing and executing the HBEG’s digital acquisition strategy across the digital eco-system with focus on Search, Social, Programmatic, Display, Affiliates & Aggregators, and eDM. The role holder is accountable for customer facing communication, content & development and approvals across the digital ecosystem. The role is accountable to Head of RBWM Marketing in Egypt as the MENAT Head of Digital Acquisition.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Develop and implement a digital strategy, aligned to achieving digital targets in line with Group mandate
• Develop relevant and effective content that will drive digital acquisition through Search, Social, Programmatic, Display, Affiliates & Aggregators, eDM
• Ensure the digital fulfillment journeys are seamless, well managed and deliver on agreed results
• Develop, deploy, optimize and measure HSBC’s digital media strategies with the objective of delivering business and marketing targets, enhancing efficiencies and ROI
• Provide best in class reports accompanied by insights and recommendations
• Measure and report digital performance of marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
• Ensure new digital marketing innovations are incorporated into the bank’s digital marketing efforts
• Define, test and rollout innovative methods of making digital marketing spend more effective and more efficient.
• Ensure awareness and understanding of the latest digital marketing technologies in order to provide strategic recommendations for adoption; in addition to managing their execution
• Make sure efficient digital targeting is attained through good planning and adoption of latest targeting and campaign management technologies.
• Ensure that digital creative is optimized, engaging and delivers on business objectives

Customers / Stakeholders:
• Work with Creative and Media agencies and other partners to implement a digital acquisition strategy in line with business objectives
• Harness skills of specialist agencies to deliver outstanding creative and media ideas that deliver business results
• Work with product managers and other stakeholders to ensure business objectives are achieved
• Develop digital assets and media strategies to achieve business priorities
• Create a healthy and professional working relationships with key stakeholders within Legal, Compliance and wider RBWM team


Qualifications


• Minimum 5-7 years of work experience in Product Marketing roles across Banking or FMCG Categories
• The person will need to be familiar with the marketing process and will have worked within a marketing environment ideally in a Global MNC Company/Organization
• A genuine interest in online marketing and a desire to continue learning/enhancing associated skills
• The job holder will need to be well organized with strong attention to detail and an ability to plan and priorities
• The Digital Marketing manager should possess active listening skills and demonstrate an ease in building close working relationships with key stakeholder within and outside the department
• High level of personal integrity and values in line with business core values
• Technical aptitude and the ability to operate and thrive in a fast-paced, high growth, rapidly changing environment
• Knowledge of digital media costing models, and KPIs associated with performance based advertising
• Strong affinity towards e-commerce and online trends
• Experience working with agency partners and collaborating with internal teams regionally and across business groups
• Strong knowledge of ad operations, audience targeting, and campaign set-up across channels
• Robust organizational skills to prioritize and balance multiple priorities
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to managing stakeholders
• Works well with numbers and has strong analytical skills
• The person will need to demonstrate conventional ideas but when required out-of-the box ideas to arrive at solutions for existing problems. Not afraid to challenge the status quo with a desire to improve it. They will be enthusiastic, willing to champion the unpopular if right for business strategy; and persuade and motivate individuals in other business areas to support marketing plans
• The person will need to have strong analytical skills, a good command of the English language (written and verbal) and should be able to deliver effective presentations to senior stakeholders
• The person should have a minimum of Graduate level qualification and ideally an MBA level education
