Application support engineer - Automotive Technology Development and Services At Valeo | 1-3 years of Experience
Mission
Provide the firsts levels of support needed by the projects to ease their onboarding on the internal tools. Review and validate
Valeo Project using our tool chain to detect any compliance issues and guide the software teams to be compliant with Valeo
policy and standrds.
Responsibilities
For Dashboard tool, the Application support engineer shall :
● Assess project readiness to onboard the Dashboard solution based on criteria defined by the Deployment leader.
● Report the list of activities (data migration, tool configuration etc) to be done to ensure project onboarding and
communicate associated workload to the Deployment leader.
● Configure the tool per project, and notably the path and mapping of external data sources from which KPI are
extracted
● Reply to technical issues or requests for information received through JIRA Project Ticketing system, and directly
communicate with end-users in case of further information needed to be able to solve the points.
● And in a second step, if the solution is not manageable at his/her level , the Application support engineer will insure
the sorting and affecting of requests to the right instance:
○ Project onboarding request ⇒ Deployment leader
○ Metier technical clarification ⇒ Key Users network
○ Tool Access Management ⇒ BICC/IS instance
○ Change Request ⇒ Product Owner
○ Bugs or issues identification ⇒ Product Owner
For FOSS Compliance tool, the Application support engineer shall:
Perform Compliance Analysis for Valeo software projects it using Valeo open source software tools and analyzing and
identifying the generated results with the accurate open source components
Communicate with the software teams by initiating and following up on the raised questions until their closure and
generating the required reports
Perform Component Approval by analyzing the needs of software teams to use specific open source components in
their projects
Perform FOSS License Classification and categorizing the analyzed license into one of the identified Valeo license
categories
Train and coach software development teams on safe open source software usage
Continuously contribute and improve on the Open Source Analysis process to increase the productivity and quality of the analysis

Bsc. Computer Science

Bsc. Communication Engineering
Professional experience
1 – 3 years in software engineering related activities
