Job Purpose:

The Supply Planner is responsible to manage the supply planning from source units ensuring on time and cost-effective fulfilment of the markets’ requirements reducing as much as possible the supply constraints of and contributing to the segment growth by capitalizing on the supply opportunity and mitigating the supply risks.


This role extends beyond the daily operations to proactively influence the value chain performance through continuous deploy the sourcing strategy, logistics optimization, Value leadership initiatives and KPIs improvements.


 Key Responsibilities:


Supply Planning & Logistics Operations:

Based on markets requirements, calculate & submit production & deployment plans to the respective source units managing all supply systems/ERPs involved in the process in order to ensure on time fulfilment of market requirements.

Follow up with the source units on production/dispatch plans highlighting any short term and long-term risks or opportunities providing mitigation plans and recommendations when required.

Confirm the feasibility of supplying the periodic distributor orders.

Manage the different supply constraints by proactive communication to the markets, provide mitigation plan if available, and taking part in the source unit’s quota management.

Apply weekly ordering process when needed with source units

Maintain & monitor freshness of finished goods in the pipeline as per the agreed framework.

Lead SLAs and ways of working with the source units and ensure the adherence to them.

Making sure that right supply parameters are met (production frequency/MFI)

Measure and report the performance of the source units through weekly and periodically case fill.

Ensure adherence & accountability to Activity management-timing, volumes & phasing.

Manage the different stock points in Mars pipeline making sure that the right stock levels are carried in those stock points.

Manage the loading plans & containers breakdowns out of the source units/hubs as per the cost and service frame works for all active markets in the region.

Work closely with the source units’ logistics teams in order to secure sailing slots as per the dispatches phasing & lead time targets.

Ensure timely market’s billing as per the agreed incoterms.

Ensure that GIT requirements and documentation requirements are met RFT

Manage and measure all 3PLs in the supply RTM network as per the mutually agreed SLA/contracts.

Improve continuously the performance of the logistics lanes by optimizing lead times in line with the cost guidelines

Responsible for handling complaints for source units through UCS complaint system.

Ensure Excellence in Execution:

Drive continuous improvement across all areas of supply planning logistics operations.

Standardize, document and update established processes. Ensure comprehensive education of involved stakeholders.

Establish key performance measurements, targets, and continuous process improvement initiatives to improve process quality on continual basis.

Carry out root cause analysis, utilize different approaches (pareto analysis, process mapping, fishbone, 5Y, and other visualization tools) to resolve issues and put in place preventive measures.

Develop, maintain and monitor SLAs /WOW with key stake holders (Source Units, Market Planners, S&F & Activity Management).

Lead the weekly/periodic meetings with source units & Market Planners to manage performance and improvement opportunities. Monitor, report and escalate performance with appropriate KPIs.

Lead the improvement of source units and consolidation WH Case fill to move to Case Fill to distributors.

Improve the GS phasing from source units and consolidation WH to all markets to improve on time delivery to the distributors.

Measure & improve the container utilization to reduce freight cost.

Own the GOT process, submission and tracking.

Budget Control & Monitoring:

Establish ways of working with the finance team and the market planning for the actual booking and approvals needed for the Logistics expenditure.

Report and analyze the YTD performance vs. target.

Project the full year performance.

System management

Build the required expertise in order to manage all the ERPs/systems in the related supply network which includes and not limited to Atlas/SAP & Apollo/Manugistics.

Build the required knowledge to be an Atlas end user

Education & Experience:  

-    Strong technical and functional skills (3 to 6 years supply planning and supply chain experience- minimum 3 years supply planning experience is a must)

-    FMCG experience is required

-    SAP (ATLAS) expertise is required

-    Fluent English Language Skills (verbal and written)
