Job Purpose:

QA & FS will be a key player, working closely with Production and other supporting functions related to the Value Stream, to ensure consistent deliveries of safe products that meet all quality requirements in the Product Specifications. The job-holder will have responsibility to develop, implement and maintain the Quality & Food Safety management processes and procedures, in order to ensure compliance to relevant Mars standards and guidelines, under Quality Management Process (QMP) and to strive for beyond compliance by driving continuous improvement on the Q&FS aspects of the operations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Implement Mars Quality Management Process (QMP) in the Value Stream.

Assigned as HACCP Team Leader for the Value Stream, to develop, implement, maintain, update and review HACCP studies.

Develop, implement, monitor and review the execution of GHP/GMP, Allergen Control, Metal Detection and Micro Verification as per the standards.

Develop, implement, monitor and review Traceability processes in the Value Stream.

Develop, implement, monitor and review KAPPA check/Visual Product Quality (VPQ) for the Value Stream.

Actively participate in FMOS meetings – JTM, Daily Operation Meeting, Weekly Operation Meeting and escalate/update/review in the Site Quality Meeting/Factory Management Team Meeting.

Perform weekly compliance checks to ensure compliance to the Quality Management Process, escalate non-conformances and findings to Q&FS Manager and Value Stream Manager.

Lead Quality & Food Safety risk assessments with regards to raw materials, products and operational activities related to the Value Stream.

Participate in the regional Material Risk Assessment meetings, to provide Q&FS input.

Ensure that sensory evaluation of finished products takes place as planned. Develop, maintain and audit sensory procedures in the Value Stream.

Provide Q&FS input in the clean design of equipment and building facilities, equipment modification and other continuous improvement initiatives, with adherence to the requirements outlined in change management process.

Develop, implement and monitor Integrated Pest Management programs for the Value Stream. Report pest sightings trend periodically and collaborate with the Value Stream and Pest Control company for continuous improvement.

Manage Quality & Food Safety near miss system by compiling, updating and reporting the findings and actions. Drive the Value Stream to close the reported near misses timely and effectively.

Provide training to Value Stream associates and contractors on Q&FS and GMP/GHP and manage Q&FS training program for the value stream.

Support the Value Stream in Product Related Incident Management Process to ensure incidents are reported timely and with sufficient input, which includes thorough incident impacts, the right classification, proper root cause analysis and effective corrective action/preventive actions.

Ensure the hold and release system works effectively for the Value Stream for raw materials, packaging materials, semi-finished goods, finished goods on the Manufacturing shopfloor.

Responsible as Nexus Administrator who covers the scope of Document Owner, PRIMP, CAPA, Audit and Meeting for the users and approvers in the Value Stream.

Be trained and certified as Internal Auditor for the Value Stream to conduct periodical Q&FS Audit and report the findings and ensure the closure of the audit findings. Also, participate in Internal Audit for the site.

Collaborate closely with the Value Stream and Quality Assurance for the investigation of consumer/customer complaint.

Support the development of ATLAS system for the Values Stream which relates to Q&FS.

Back up resource for Q&FS Associate Specialist Q&FS in SDP and represent Q&FS Manager in their absence.


Qualifications and Experience:

Education:

Bachelor Degree in Microbiology / Food Science /Pharmaceutical or other relevant scientific discipline.

Experience:

2-4 years of experience in Food Manufacturing facility, where scientific principles have been practically applied. Technical depth and detailed knowledge of Quality Management, Food Microbiology, Food Safety and Hygiene is a must;

Experience with project management would be a plus.

OR

Education:

Bachelor Degree in Engineering from reputable university

Experience:

2-4 years of experience in production, FMCG or Food production is a must.

Skills : 

Analytical, Problem Solving, Reporting, Collaborative and self-control.

Internal:

The main stakeholders: Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Commercial, SQA

R&D team in sister companies (Regional collaborative work streams and material supply networking).

External:

External labs, Pest Control Company, Supplying companies for R&D consumables.
