Job Purpose

• A member of the Corporate Banking Team who is responsible to deliver the financial targets through developing and maintaining the relationships within an assigned portfolio or initiating new relationships.

• Assist the Industry Head with product knowledge, industry researches and customer relationship development plans.

• Act as principal point of contact to the customers and deputize the Industry Head in his absence.

Main accountabilities and approximate time split

Business Development Time Split: 70% • Build a trusted advisory business relationship with key decision makers within an assigned portfolio in certain industry.

• Responsible to deliver the financial targets and AWB STP within certain industry through existing and new customers.

• Prepare Industry Analysis Reports and maintain track records for periodic updates on this industry.

• Research, create and follow up on a targeted list of potential clients.

• Prepare detailed deal forums for any new customers.

• Develop Customer Relationship Plans.

• Calculate RORWA for any existing or new clients.

• Maximize cross sell and income generated through coordinating with various stakeholders (T&WC – Treasury & Consumer Banking).

• Act as principal point of contact to the customers and deputize the Industry Head in his absence.


Operational Rigor

Time Split: 30% • Enhance the utilization levels within the approved limits, terms and conditions.

• Regular monitoring of the assigned portfolio in all credit aspects.

• Analyze historic and projected financial information to identify key issues.

• Address the Credit Risk Issues and queries and identify any early warning signs and properly report them in a timely manner.

• Assist the team in completing all compliance and regulatory goverenance (KYC – PEP …etc.)

• Liaise with other supporting functions to ensure that the service provided to our customers are always maintained at the highest standards.

• Proactively enagage in marking and drawdown of the facilities.

• Follow up on the workflow and actively engage in solving any problem facing customers.

• Engage in structuring customers’ facilities to meet his needs.

• Fully contribute in Relationship Team meetings and provide suggestions for improving workflow.

• Coach and develp other junior members in the team, if available.

Knowledge, Expertise and Experience:

Essential Knowledge

• Complete Credit Risk Course.

• Good knowledge of bank’s products and services.

• Full knowledge of CBE as well as Bank’s internal policies and regulations.

• Minimum 5 years experience in Corporate Banking.
