JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible to ensuring that all the QC activities are carried out in an effective way in accordance with the QMS, the applicable international standards and the customers requirements. The job holder is also responsible to Lead the QC team ensuring that all raw materials, manufactured / trading good items and manufacturing processes conform to the company specifications and quality standards.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Compliance of Production Quality Standards:
Responsible for the preparation, control and issuance of all Project related Quality Control Manuals in a timely manner
Ensure follow of QC & Production process as per standards
Availability of approved Suppliers list & specifications with testing reports for RM.
Ensure that all facility and project product tests are conducted and reported in line with the requirements
Ensure continuous update to the company product qualifications in line with local/international regulators.
Release of Items for delivery
Ensure that the process quality control activities are in compliance with FPI/Client specific requirements so as to comply to the required control and performance standards
Provide availability of compliance certificate for finished goods release(project specific)
Testing facilities
Calibrate equipment in accordance to the latest norms and requirement so as to assure quality
Ensure availability of Calibration Procedure & Records
Ensure availability of List of Equipment’s for Calibration & Status
Preparation of Project documentation:
Ensure the resource requirements of the QC Department are met in order for the smooth performance of the department.
Provide Project Specific Procedures & Quality, Plans/inspection & Test Plans
Ensure availability of Manufacturing Record Book (if applicable)
Preparation of QC documentation
Responsible for ensuring all Quality Control Manuals are maintained up to date, issued and implemented.
Ensure the QC documentation and records are maintained and stored safely.
Ensure that the product property database is maintained so as to monitor that the minimum properties are achieved and that they are consistent from product run to run.
Availability of Records Storage , Container/Area with proper labelling Availability of Monthly Technical Reports with analysis
Availability of Complete database on the computer for the pipes and fittings with respect to QC and production details.
Role Of MR
Responsible for ISO 9001 & 14001 implementation and after that maintained of the standards in Company.
Responsible for other certificate related to Company also.
Complete Internal Audit in timely manner
Teamwork & Employee Excellence
Enhance work environment to promote and drive employee engagement and team effectiveness
Conduct annual performance appraisals and provide staff feedback regarding strengths, areas for improvements and development opportunities
Establish KPI’s for individual units and ensure that they are aligned with FPI’s mission and vision
HSE
Develop a safety culture by ensuring all staff comply with HSE policies and procedures
Participate in QHSE audits, incident reporting and review of QHSE performances as required
Comply with relevant safety, quality and environmental control procedures and instructions
Report unsafe acts, incidents or safety violations
SPAN OF COMMUNICATION
Internal: Plant Manager, Production, Projects, Technical, Sales & Marketing
External: Consultants, Clients & Accreditation Authorities
Job relevant information (BOUNDARIES & DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY):
The jobholder is responsible for follow of Quality standards, final inspection
The jobholder has the authority to reject raw material, stop production due to quality failure
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor / Masters in Engineering
Preferred Experience: 5 years of QC Engineer in related industry, preferably with QA experience fibreglass
Job-Specific Skills:
Relevant knowledge of Fibreglass Raw industry
Knowledge of International codes and standards related to Fibreglass piping industry
Product & Raw material testing experience
