What you’ll achieve
As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of new software technology enabling Dell to address the demands of 5G wireless solutions. You will work within a global development team, actively collaborating with our technical and business leaders as part of an intrapreneurial team building a new business from the ground up. From applied research to advanced engineering, Dell’s 5G R&D team will design and develop ground-breaking products & solutions. It’s a fascinating field of work. You will be involved in assessing the competition, developing technology and products and generating intellectual property. You don't have to be a Telco/5G expert but you will gain the experience along.
You will:
Design & develop 5G Solution Platform & Orchestration Software.
Participate in creation and review of design document that will drive the implementation of 5G Solution Platform & Orchestration Software
Implement and unit test key features, per implementation plans and design documents
Work to identify and drive improvements, integration and test automation
Work closely with the verification group to ensure the completeness, quality and performance of the implemented functionality

Essential Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
Beginner-level programming skills with a statically typed, compiled language
0 - 2 years of working experience as a Software Engineer
Knowledge about microservices architecture and technologies (REST APIs, Kubernetes, Docker, etc)
Self starter, team player that thrives in a dynamic, changing environment
Desirable Requirements
Previous knowledge about 5G is a plus but not a mandatory prerequisite
Knowledge about Go programming language
Knowledge about Network Function Virtualization and orchestration
Knowledge about the NETCONF protocol
