Snacks Creator Trainee at Givaudan Egypt
Purpose of the role
You will get to know all aspects of seasoning creation during the training program. Participate in flavor creation process and commit to self-development, to contribute to organisation’s know-how and improve products quality, following goals and EH&S policies.
You will be based in Egypt Site, in 6th of October city and reporting to Egypt Technical Manager.
Main Responsibilities
Flavor Development
-Assist Flavourist while learning basic Flavor Creation tools and techniques
-Prepare and make presentations to technical management to summarize learning and suggest improvements in all teams
-Help evaluate flavors in food products and provide flavor performance feedback
-Prepare flavor samples as requested for creations and application needs, technology performance assessment, physical testing in addition to other related tasks.
-Help apply flavors to food products when assigned
Induction & Training
-Participate in Flavor Training Program
Environmental Health & Safety
Maintain a safe, clean and organized lab environment following EH&S policies and hold others accountable for following these guidelines
Academic Background
Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology or Pharmacy
Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in a food applications lab, production or related area
1+ years of experience as a Creation Assistant or Flavor Technician
Pass Givaudan taste and aroma testing or equivalent which shows excellent organoleptic skills
Technical Skills
Excellent tasting skills and can describe the flavor profile of a product
Understanding of some ingredients and formulas or other technical processes to learn the science behind flavor formulations
Skills which are necessary to work with all partners and customers
Understanding of delivery systems or similar technical processes to learn the science behind their performance in applications
Fluent English Language is a must
