Job Description

As a the Material Handling Engineer in Supply Chain, you will be responsible for leading and organizing the pickup line operations team responsible for receiving, put away, unboxing, and distribution of material to safely achieve the daily production ra

tes within the target cost, drive continuous improvement, and act against performance deviation through Global Manufacturing System and Lean Material Strategy tools.
You will act as a liaison between purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, logistics and suppliers to resolve issues and to provide support.

Responsibilities:


Ensure full compliance with GM safety and environmental standards, conduct regular tour and assessments.
Ensure the engagement of operators in the achievement of the Business Plan Deployment targets in safety, people, quality, responsiveness, cost, and environment, according to a standardized processes using GMS tools
Review area score card, participate and/or lead the daily operations meetings to track key business results, manage changes and act on deviations
Audit material records and analysis variance to act upon shortages and excess with relevant committees
Ensure the effectiveness of the shop floor escalation tools especially NCRs, ESC, TPM, maintenance and facility WO, and LA action plan.
Comply with local and global procedures and Internal Controls requirements within the function
Conduct regular audits and ensure process compliance with local and global procedures, GMS elements, ISO standards, and Internal Controls requirements with the function.
Through manpower and equipment distribution, improve labor utilization and achieve productivity improvement targets.
Position will oversee a team: provide employee development, training, and drive the performance management process as well as manage an efficient organizational structure.

Support relationship management cross-functionally and establish relationships with many areas of the organization.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Competencies

Knowledge and Experience:

Minimum 1+ years of experience in the industrial field, preferred in material handling, supply chain operations/planning, warehousing, production, or industrial engineering.
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or any related filed
Lean-six sigma or CPIM is a plus
Skills:

Good communication and leadership skills in terms of leading by example, being collaborative, inspiring others and encouraging innovative thinking within the hourly and developing positive working relationships with other employees.
