You’ll be part of the Signify Supply Chain team at Egypt and drive the following:
• Accept and validate sales order by checking references and
validating relevant information
• Check availability of order and prepare delivery proposal;
where needed select proposed alternatives and update order status
• Screening of complex orders (specials) regarding technical
content and commercial correctness.
• Managing specials, combined shipment, missing or dead on
arrival. • Managing sales orders up to delivery to forwarding.
• Monthly reporting of order receipts, deliveries, sales and
stock levels.
What you’ll do
· Pre-screening
of complex orders: Analyzes the order in SAP based on the commercial catalog
with data from the technical catalog. Imagines what the customer wants to do
with the system. Analyzes discrepancies between order and catalog. Determines
with which functionality the wishes of the customer can be realized. Decides if
the functionality through the catalog cannot be realized that it concerns a
'special'. Attunes with Sales. Passes the order to Production Planning.
· Treatment
specials: Draws-up Special Order report. Describes what the customer wants,
where it differs from the commercial catalog and formulates possible solutions.
Discusses this with Line Manager / Product Marketing / Development / Production
Preparation / Planner / Q & R.
· Adapts the
technical content of the order
· Sending
special orders: Receives ready signal of Manufacturing planner. • Orders for
goods to pack and send.
· Dead on
arrival claims: Logs the error, examines whether the claim is justified.
· Requests the
internally responsible to deliver substitute goods. Creates an invoice and lets
the order be shipped.
· Managing
Returns: Receives from Sales the request for goods to be allowed to return.
Checks what material is still useful.
· Interprets the
procedures and determines the amount to be credited. Draughts a Return
Authorization Report lists the materials to be returned and justifies the
credit amount. • Individual contributor role
· Initiates
& runs improvement projects.
· The required
functionality of the customer order cannot be fulfilled with the technical
catalogue.
· Analyses the
specifications of the customer order.
· Makes a
selection out of partly contradicting requirements to obtain the most optimal
solution for the configuration
· Knows how to
run improvement projects.
· Knows the
technical- and commercial catalogue to translate commercial orders to actual
technical feasible orders.
· Is abreast of
the procedures for logistics, planning, production, transport and installation.
· It concerns
multiple activities and coordination within the organization.
· Direct
technical contact with sales and consultation with internal and external
parties.
· Guides and
coaches less senior customer order specialists
What you’ll need
- Bachelors’ degree in operations/technology
- Ability to work independently in the performance of own work and takes decisions with regard to planning, execution and quality.
- Working with an emphasis is on finding the optimal solution, not the quantity / number of orders.
